Questions people ask before they pay
- Can I cancel at any time?
- Yes. Pro is a monthly subscription and you cancel it yourself in the Polar customer portal, which you reach from the billing section of your account. Access stays until the end of the period you already paid for.
- How is VAT handled?
- Polar is the merchant of record. VAT is calculated and shown during checkout, and Polar issues the invoice.
- Can we pay by invoice instead of a card?
- Pro and Agency are card payments through Polar, our merchant of record. If your company needs an invoice, a purchase order or a data processing agreement in place first, that is the Business plan, and it starts with a short conversation about your volume and your limits.
- Where do the numbers in my reports come from?
- Raw numbers come from each platform's official API, through the accounts you connected yourself. Where a report derives a metric from them, such as a score or a benchmark, it is computed from those reported numbers and labeled as derived. No scraping, and no invented platform numbers.
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. The Free plan needs no payment details. You can open every reporting app and connect your first accounts before you decide anything.
- What counts as a connected account?
- One account, page, property or channel you authorise on a connector. A YouTube channel and a Google Analytics property are two connected accounts.
